Your mission

Our company performs work with a strong focus on creating safe and pleasant living environments together with our tenants. We are now looking for someone who wants to be part of this work as an HVAC technician. You will join Järfällahus's core operations, responsible for existing properties and ensuring that everything works so that our tenants have a pleasant living environment.

As an HVAC technician with us, you will have overall responsibility for plumbing-related HVAC work in our properties. You will work both operationally and coordinatively with installations, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of heating, water, and sanitation installations. The role involves close collaboration with operations technicians, area leaders/managers, and contracted entrepreneurs, as well as a responsibility to ensure quality, economy, and competence within your area of expertise in the company.

We offer you an exciting and varied job primarily with practical tasks, but also some administrative duties. You will belong to the management team and report directly to the management manager.

Examples of tasks:

  • Perform and coordinate repairs, installations, and replacements of pipes as well as heating, water, and sanitation equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve HVAC issues requested by area leaders/managers, operations technicians, and repairers
  • Address reports related to HVAC installations for our tenants
  • Independently drive smaller maintenance and repair projects within HVAC
  • Order, follow up, and ensure quality of repairs and maintenance actions, both technically and economically
  • Follow up and collaborate with suppliers and contracted entrepreneurs in HVAC work
  • Train and support internal staff in simpler troubleshooting and replacements, such as toilets, sinks, single-lever mixers, and ball valves
  • Participate in maintenance planning and annual budgeting
  • Contribute at area meetings and provide technical expertise in discussions with the business

Who are you?

To thrive in this role, we believe you are a service-oriented and structured person who has the ability to independently plan and drive your own work forward, as well as understanding the importance of collaborating and cooperating with others. Furthermore, you need to be responsible, quality-conscious, and pedagogical. Since you have many points of contact in your role, you are attentive and have a good approach towards tenants, suppliers, contractors, and colleagues.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability for this position.

Requirements for the position:

  • Relevant education in HVAC or equivalent work experience
  • Documented experience in plumbing and HVAC installations in residential properties
  • Good knowledge of heating, water, and sanitation
  • Experience in troubleshooting, repairs, and replacements of HVAC installations
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for the entire assignment, from ordering to follow-up
  • Good administrative skills and experience in ensuring quality of work from both a technical and economic perspective
  • Driver's license (category B)
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

Meritorious:

  • Experience working in public housing or larger property portfolios
  • Experience in a purchasing role and working with contracted entrepreneurs
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry standards in HVAC
  • Experience in training or mentoring colleagues
  • Hot work training
  • Basic general asbestos training
